Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. When she was a kid, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as old boleros. They also played the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana enjoys opera, tangos and every form of dramatic performances. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, she began her more intensive singing training when she was 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. The singer continued her education in the field of music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young college student as well as a professional. Following her move in The United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current location in the southern part of California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private celebrations and in the Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Passion and enthusiasm for music, art, and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana is also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her singing of Latin American traditional songs, to instill enthusiasm, specifically among younger people, for keeping this music alive.
